Online Pet Memorial Leader Peternity.com Adds the Sculptural Works of Award Winning Sculptor Suanne Martin

Brea, California (PRWEB) June 2, 2010

Peternity.com, the online leader in artisan crafted pet memorial products since 2003, is pleased to announce the addition of the sculptural works of Award Winning Sculptor, Suanne Martin. Peternity sells high quality pet memorials crafted by artists nationwide, including pet grave markers, pet urns, pet keepsake jewelry, stained glass pet memorials, custom pet memorial paintings and drawings, and pet memorial sculptures.

A popular Facebook group titled ?My pet is a part of the family, not just an animal? has over 300,000 members and continues to grow. A 2009 Gallup poll found that 91% of pet owners agree that their pets are a part of the family. This growing trend of pets as family members is fueling the burgeoning pet memorial industry, as people search for meaningful, unique and expressive pieces of art to memorialize their dearly beloved furry family members.

Sculptor Suanne Martin is crafting busts and full size pet memorial sculptures for Peternity.com in bronze patina (on a hydrocal or aqua-resin) or single color wash patina - a simple white finish. By special request she can do sculptures in sterling silver, cast bronze or a hand-painted color scheme to match the colors of pets? coat colors. Prices range from $ 2,750 to $ 3,100. Bases can be added for $ 225.

Working for various studios in New York, New Jersey and Chicago, Martin has made a living exclusively as a sculptor since 1991. Her main focus has been on sculpting human and animal forms, with a special emphasis on portrait studies and commissions, many of which can be seen in permanent museum installations across the US, Mexico and South America. In addition to her figurative work, Suanne has built a strong and growing clientele for her canine sculpture - highly detailed works that are cast in sterling silver, bronze and marble.

Martin traveled and studied extensively throughout Europe and the Middle East during her undergraduate years in college. Martin earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1991 from Pratt Institute in New York. Today she heads the sculpture department for a Fine Arts Academy in Long Island, NY.

Peternity.com?s Founder Colleen Mihelich says, ?What I?ve heard repeatedly over the years from our clients is that they want the ?perfect? memorial for their beloved pets. Offering our clients custom art pieces has filled this need so well. Clients are able to talk directly to the artists to ensure that their visions become reality.?

Colleen Mihelich is a pet loss expert who has helped thousands of pet owners celebrate and honor the love they share with their pets. She founded Peternity.com to help people pay tribute to the lives of pets. Amphenol Reveals New QSFP to SFP+ Splitter Cables at CablesOnDemand.com -- Amphenol's Exclusive Online Storefront for Cables and Connectors.

Endicott, New York (PRWEB) August 24, 2011

Cables on Demand, a division of Amphenol Corporation, is pleased to debut Amphenol?s new series of QSFP to 4 SFP+ Splitter Cables for the IT/Datacenter market at CablesOnDemand.com, Amphenol?s exclusive online storefront. Engineered by New York-based Amphenol High-Speed Interconnects? (AHSI), these QSFP to 4 SFP+ Passive Copper Splitter Cables are well suited for a multitude of installation scenarios in which dissimilar QSFP and SFP+ ported equipment must be connected. A common installation method is to plug the single 40G QSFP channel of the splitter cable into the Top-of-Rack (ToR) switch?s available 40-Gbps QSFP uplink port. The splitter cable?s four individual 10G SFP+ channels can then be routed to a wide range of compatible gear; including 10GbE-SFP+ rack-mount servers, blade servers, blade switches, NIC?s, and Direct Attach storage arrays.

Amphenol's high-speed interconnect manufacturing expertise shines through on the QSFP to SFP+ Splitter Cable Series, as evidenced by its superb build quality and component selection according to Nick Blas, Product Marketing Manager for Amphenol Cables on Demand. "Hybrid cables (a.k.a. splitter cables or breakout cables) operating at such extreme data-rates must accommodate design tolerances far in excess of what typical straight-thru cables require. Amphenol?s most experienced Signal Integrity Engineers approached the design challenges systemically with an added emphasis on signal skew control and crosstalk reduction. Several patented technologies, such as Amphenol?s exclusive Spectra-Strip SKEWCLEAR bandwidth-optimized wire, ensured that all of the rigorous design expectations were met.?

Amphenol intends to fill a void in the marketplace with its new QSFP to 4 SFP+ Passive Copper Splitter Cable offering. The proliferation of 10-Gigabit Ethernet network architecture has excelled well beyond industry expectations. However, network performance will undoubtedly suffer without an even broader data-pipe present on the back-end to help aggregate the masses of data. The QSFP (Quad-SFP) interface helps perform this critical function; capable of hosting 4 x 10-Gbps data lanes in a high-density package not much larger than a single-lane SFP+ port. Amphenol?s QSFP to SFP+ hybrid cable solution bridges the gap between two generations of high-speed communications standards (10G and 40G).

A noteworthy but discrete benefit of using QSFP to 4 x SFP+ Passive Copper Splitter Cables revolves around long-term cost savings. Rather than routing 10GbE traffic through a switch?s dedicated 10GbE-SFP+ uplink port, some network topologies will inefficiently aggregate its 10G traffic via 10 discrete Gigabit Ethernet Channels; usually in the form of ten separate CAT6 patch cords. With four native 10GbE-SFP+ connectors available on each splitter cable, 40 discrete Gigabit Ethernet connections can be eliminated from the mix. By electing to work with a splitter cable, the costs associated with potentially thousands of CAT6 patch cords and the power-hungry chipsets that drive them are alleviated entirely. High-density SFP+ and QSFP connections are far more efficient, offering an impressive 10-fold reduction in power consumption and heat dissipation by comparison.

Genuine Amphenol Hybrid QSFP to 4 SFP+ Passive Copper Splitter Cable Assemblies are available in a variety of popular lengths, including 1m, 3m, and 5m ? perfect for short-run top-of-rack switching applications. Each QSFP to SFP+ Splitter Cable utilizes Amphenol?s latest generation of high-performance connectors with superb resistance to crosstalk. All of the connectors are fully enclosed within zinc die-cast backshells for superior EMI performance and minimal insertion loss. Each cable is expertly assembled with Amphenol Spectra-Strip brand twinaxial SKEWCLEAR? wire; optimized for bandwidth-intense applications such as 10Gb Ethernet, Fibre Channel, InfiniBand, and SONET. SFF-8436 QSFP and SFF-8431 SFP+ MSA compliant for guaranteed compatibility with your SFP+ ported switch, router, or NIC.

All of the cables discussed above are available now for same-day shipment from Amphenol Cables on Demand?s Endicott, NY-based fulfillment center. Bulk discounts are available in quantities above 50 pieces. Cables on Demand offers Free UPS Ground Shipping on all orders over $ 75.00 and periodically offers special promotional discounts. To commemorate the product launch, Cables on Demand will extend a complimentary $ 100 OFF discount with all online orders of $ 500 or more. To place an order online, customers can visit the Cables on Demand website (http://www.CablesOnDemand.com) or call the company?s Toll Free Customer Service Call Center at 1-866-223-2860. Amphenol Cables on Demand also offers a complete selection of related high-speed cabling products, including SFP+ Passive Copper Cables, SFP+ Active Copper Cables, QSFP Cables, and 40-Gigabit Ethernet QSFP+ Cables. All major credit cards are accepted and NET30 payment terms are available on approved credit.

Amphenol Corporation (NYSE:APH) is the second largest manufacturer of connectors and cables worldwide, comprised of over fifty industry-leading divisions including Times Fiber Communications, Times Microwave Systems, Teradyne Connection Systems, Amphenol Interconnect Products and Amphenol RF. Since 1934, Amphenol Engineers have designed innovative interconnect solutions such as the BNC and UHF connector series, SKEWCLEAR wire technology, and XCede backplane architecture.

Amphenol Cables on Demand, launched in 2006, is Amphenol's first wholly owned subsidiary optimized for the distribution of Amphenol brand cable products online. Based in Endicott, NY, Cables on Demand offers same day shipping before 3:00PM Eastern on over 3,000 unique cable SKUs. The company's high product mix supports a vast array of applications including Network, Broadcast, Test, Instrumentation, Audio/Video, Data Storage, Clustered Computers, Prototyping, Automation, Industrial Control, WiFi, Automotive and Avionics.

Immersion Active Engaged by Four New Clients; Agency Selected for its Experience Marketing to Boomers and Seniors Online

Frederick, MD (PRWEB) June 18, 2010

Immersion Active(immersionactive.com) the only internet marketing agency focused exclusively on the baby boomer and senior markets, today announced the addition of four new clients during the second quarter of 2010 including an international software company, a national builder of active adult communities, a chain of family owned funeral homes and the official supplier of caskets and urns to Notre Dame University alumni and their families.

David Weigelt, Chief Marketing Strategist and Partner at Immersion Active said, ?The boomer and senior markets have a wide range of needs from help with aging parents, to housing, to managing their own financial and health needs.? He continued, ?Our newest clients certainly reflect the breadth of those needs as well as our success in engaging these consumers online across a variety of industries.?

Among Immersion Active?s new clients is Reimage an Israeli company that develops software to help clean-up and repair PC?s of damaging viruses. Weigelt said that Immersion Active is providing Reimage with their 3x3 Boomer Engagement Consultation that includes analysis of their current marketing efforts and the development of a consumer-specific online strategy to reach their 50-plus consumer.

Another company benefiting from Immersion Active?s 3x3 Boomer Engagement Consultation is Renaissance Funeral Homes of Long Island, New York, and Raleigh, North Carolina. Weigelt said that additionally Immersion Active will help this family-run business develop an effective blog strategy and improve their search engine optimization (SEO).

Immersion Active?s work with one of the nation?s largest homebuilders will include the development, execution and management of their national email marketing program targeting adults ages 55-plus. Campaign reporting and insight will be provided by Immersion Active?s analytics and optimization team.

The newest addition to the Immersion Active client list is Trappist Caskets of the New Melleray Abbey in Peosta, Iowa. The agency will be conducting an online marketing campaign aimed at driving traffic to, and increasing sales on, their existing website. Weigelt said, ?The monks have a terrific story to tell. They handcraft each casket and urn from wood harvested on their own 1,200 acre forest. Upon completion, each casket or urn is personally blessed by the monk craftsmen and a tree is planted in honor of the deceased. Their business is inherently ?green? while having a price point perfectly suited for today?s consumer.? He added, ?Such care and quality goes into these pieces that the University of Notre Dame named Trappist Casket their official supplier. We?re excited to be working with such an inspiring client.? To kick off this latest project, Immersion Active will be spending three days in July at the monastery living and working along side of the monks.

Weigelt and his business partner Jonathan Boehman are the co-authors of Dot Boom: Engaging Baby Boomers Through Meaningful Online Engagement, a book that provides companies with a roadmap for developing boomer marketing strategies, especially through the use of Internet marketing and social media. Weigelt said, ?The boomer market includes some 78 million individuals. It?s a large and divers group of consumers that has certain expectations and pretty much demands they be met or they?ll move on. Immersion Active helps our clients meet those needs with an approach that is focused on establishing genuine relationships.?

New Online Interface at PostcardsandInvitations.com Combines QR Codes and Direct Mail Marketing

Simpsonville, SC (PRWEB) June 14, 2011

Last week, Astonishingmail LLC debuted several new online features for its subsidiary website PostcardsandInvitations.com, making it simple for small business owners to create custom direct marketing pieces online and easily incorporate QR Codes into the layout.

QR Codes, or Quick Response Codes, are two-dimensional barcodes that may be scanned with a Smartphone to immediately take the viewer from printed material to online content such as a landing page, movie clip, or Facebook page right on their mobile device.

The result is ?interactive? direct mail marketing postcards, bridging the gap between the business? offline and online marketing.

?Just imagine how much more powerful your marketing message will be when you combine the proven impact of direct mail with the power of your social media and videos,? said John Welsh, founder and owner of direct-mail company PostcardsandInvitations.com. ?The novelty of QR Code invitations is hard to resist. Many consumers scan them just to see where they go!?

QR Code cards may take the viewer from a printed piece to the company website, Facebook page, online product demo, detailed product information page, event signup, special offer, even messaging targeted towards each individual consumer (with the use of personalized URLs). Any online content or document that can be viewed on a Smartphone will work with a QR code.

?It?s important to think strategically,? said Welsh, identifying some tips for successful QR Code campaigns. ?Consider what you are seeking in terms of a response to your direct mail, and your online content can provide supporting information or a call to action, or both. Are you seeking Facebook fans, event registrations, product inquiries, sales leads? The message on your printed card and in the online content need to make sense together.?

For example, a realtor with a hot new property might link her direct mail photo postcards to a YouTube video tour of the building and contact info. Asking for someone to donate to a cause? Take the viewer directly to a mobile-friendly donation page. A product video would be perfect for a new gadget, especially when paired with a request-for-demo form.

?Add a QR Code to any of your business marketing communications ? such as postcards or business thank you cards ? for an exciting dimension of interactivity, transporting the user to additional information and the marketer to higher response rates,? said Welsh. ?And it?s easy. Anyone new to the technology can first visit PostcardsandInvitations.com and watch our video explaining how to use QR Codes, or those already familiar can go directly to our website and get started today.?

Welsh?s direct mail company PostcardsandInvitations.com has an intuitive online interface to design professional small business postcards. Through the interface, add a QR Code directly into the mail piece to connect clients to online videos, signup forms, or product information. Upload your mailing list or purchase one online.

PostcardsandInvitations.com then professionally prints, addresses, and mails your cards the next business day.

?QR Codes aren?t just for business,? reminds Ginny Welsh, John?s wife and business partner. ?They?re perfect for adding interactive content to mailed birth announcements, baby shower invitations, holiday greeting cards, and photo postcards.?

About Postcards and Invitations

MyReviewsNow Online Shopping Showcases New Body Sculpting Equipment

(PRWEB) October 12, 2011

MyReviewsNow Online Shopping is excited to showcase new body sculpting equipment with affiliate, Body by Jake, Tower 200. This is the newest muscle-toning product from Body By Jake, the fitness line created by Jake Steinfeld. The Tower 200 is a full resistance-style gym designed to attach to any door. The goal is to allow the user to achieve a full body workout from any room without the hassle of equipment that takes up space. The Tower 200 is the latest in Body by Jake's body sculpting line of products emphasizing a full body workout.

Body sculpting, also termed core conditioning, is muscle toning, non-aerobic exercises that focus on overall core strength. Generally, body sculpting involves exercise bands, weight bars, dumbbells and other similar weight and resistance equipment. Traditional weight-training moves are performed in an organized session to cover all major muscle groups. Body sculpting provides an overall increase in strength and muscle tone along with additional health benefits. These include a reduced risk of bone loss, better cardiovascular health and a better ability to fight off common illnesses such as the common cold or flu.

The Tower 200 is so named because more than 200 muscle toning exercises can be performed with this device. The Tower 200 hits all areas needed for full body sculpting routines including the back, legs, chest, shoulders, arms and abdominal muscles. The package features a total of 200 pounds of equipment including resistance gear, ankle straps and handgrips. A starrer guide is included to provide instruction on the 200 plus exercises that can be done with the Tower 200 along with an exercise chart. The device is effective for a whole body workout or for general toning and maintenance.

Core conditioning is normally performed as part of a class. The Tower 200 allows an individual to go through a core conditioning routine without the necessity of attending a class. Any core conditioning will lead to some level of soreness, but this is a good thing. As long as the soreness goes away within a reasonable amount of time, this is considered a healthy sign that the exercises are working. Those who are experienced with core conditioning will have little or no soreness and fatigue following a workout. It will take some time to learn proper form. A detailed guide and DVD both help to explain techniques.

Correct form is important for effective core conditioning. Users, especially those new to core conditioning, should view the DVD and carefully read the guide to understand proper form. Improper form may result in injury or decrease the effectiveness of these exercises. The Tower 200 makes it easier to maintain correct form since the user does not have to change devices for each exercise. First-time users should be prepared for muscle soreness during initial use. The Tower 200 allows a user to focus on a specific body part or muscle group such as abs or lower-body sculpting.

A DVD is also included with the Tower 200 with two features. The Mother of All Workouts is a general overall of the Tower 200. The 2nd feature provides instructions for isolation exercises. The Tower 200 can be ordered by simply visiting the website and placing and order. The Body by Jake Tower 200 is then shipped via UPS and delivered within 2-4 weeks. A 30-day money-back guarantee is included to allow users to try the product. Additionally, customers may ask questions prior to purchase or find information on other Body by Jake products.

Old-Fashioned Work Clothing Store Makes the Move Online

Cameron, WV (PRWEB) October 14, 2009

When Lisa Hammel, founder of http://www.FastBibs.com, was just a young girl, her parents bought a general store in historic Pleasant Valley, West Virginia.

"My parents decided to call the store Pleasant Valley Grocery, and it had the feel of an old 'mom and pop' general store but it had so much more?.we sold all types of fuel, had a hardware section jam packed with nails, pipe fittings, paints, rope and more," Hammel said.

Her family's business carried a large selection of pet and livestock feeds. They wore clean white aprons and tried to greet everyone as they entered. At the ripe old age of 10 she was promoted to penny candy case manager! "I am sure we didn't turn a profit in that department for many years ? I ate all the profits!" she recalls. Hammel had to stand on a milk crate to slice lunch meat and run the cash register and in those days it was "all paper" white in the deli and brown bags for groceries.

Hammel's father opened an account with Carhartt and they special ordered as needed but after returning home from college she decided to stock the entire line and open Hammel's Clothing & Boot LLC.

Perhaps the most popular product was the Carhartt bib work overalls. "The Carhartt bib work overalls were a big part of my success, and that's what inspired me to create a Web site," Hammel said.

On Hammel's Web site, visitors will find the most popular styles of Carhartt bib work overalls, including insulated overalls, denim overalls and unlined overalls. In addition, Hammel offers the entire line of clothing and accessories from Carhartt.

"I can get any item that Carhartt makes, and in the future, I want to add more to my Web site, though the focus of FastBibs.com will always be the bib work overalls," Hammel said.

With the addition of a new blog at http://www.WorkClothingBlog.com, Hammel plans to discuss work clothing in relation to its uses.

"There are a lot of different kinds of work clothing that are becoming more mandatory in certain jobs, which I plan to discuss on the blog," Hammel said. "I also want to talk about the different materials from which work clothing is made, like double kneed denim and fire retardant material, which can be essential depending on the work discipline."

Unlike other retailers who often know little about their products, Hammel has specialized in Carhartt work clothing for several decades, and takes great pride in her knowledge and commitment to customer service.

US Funerals Online Seeing a Huge Increase in the Number of People Looking to Compare Funeral Prices, as Families Learn That Dying Does Not Come Cheap

New York, New York (PRWEB) October 18, 2011

Many funeral homes today have their own websites, but most of these seem to have forgotten to include information about the one thing that is on most people?s mind. How much does a funeral cost? There is no other industry that hides their prices in the way the funeral industry does. Research conducted by US Funerals Online revealed that over 80% of funeral home web sites do not disclose actual costs.

Nicholas Ille, owner and founder of US Funerals Online, said, ?Losing a loved one is an extremely emotional experience, and families are then forced to make quick decisions about the funeral arrangements. We have seen a huge shift in the number of visitors to our web site, looking for ways to save money on funeral expenses. Gone are the days when families would just order the services from a funeral home, without even inquiring about the costs. People can be quite shocked when they find out just how much funeral costs do vary between funeral homes. ?

Over 2.5 million Americans die every year (Source: ONS Office of National Statistics), and many families are finding out that dying can be a very costly affair. Baby boomers are becoming increasingly interested in doing things their own way, which can also be driven financially. Why have expensive funerals when the money would be better being left to our children? It is a sad fact of life today, that as Americans age, they seem to be paying out more and more. As people live longer their senior years can now be one expense after the next, care homes, nursing homes and hospices all come at a hefty price, and then comes a final bill that needs to be paid.

Over the past 18 months, US Funerals Online has been working closely with local family-owned and operated funeral homes across the U.S offering a low cost funeral option. ?We believe that every family in America should be able to locate a low cost funeral provider, if that is what they choose? says Nicholas. The US Funerals Online web site lists all funeral homes by city/state and clearly identifies the low cost providers, including their price. By including all funeral homes in our directory, this makes comparing costs between different funeral homes, only a phone call away.

US Funerals Online was formed in 2003 as a consumer guide and directory, to help families faced with the very difficult task of arranging a funeral service for a loved one. There are many decisions that need to be made almost immediately following a death. Is the body to be buried or cremated? Do we need a casket or urn? Where do we send funeral flowers and sympathy flowers to? What about headstones and grave markers? The US Funerals Online web site aims to answer all these questions and also connect people with funeral companies in their own local communities.
