An evil darkness is approaching. Lord Thane, created by the powerful sorcerer Aasarak, is resurrected as the lord of the Azmathous and is about to let loose his wrath on the world of Shandahar. In this first of two compelling books, Adrianna Darnesse, a young woman who has just completed eight years studying mysticism, sets out on a journey to find her long-lost sister. Little does she know she is about to be thrown in the forefront of a battle against a terrible force that threatens life as she knows it. She meets along her way a collection of loyal misfits who, with their strength and skills in battle, will join her as she goes to meet her destiny.

Shandahar is a world swirling with mystical realms and bloody battles, with enchanted forests and crowded cities where things are not always as they seem. Adrianna must summon all her power and courage as she fights ruthless necromantic priests, the eerie undead and vicious creatures of all kinds. But worst of all?who can she trust? Are all her friends as loyal as they seem?

Adrianna and her group join up with some of the most powerful and experienced fighters, clerics, and spell-casters in the known realms. They work together to charge forward, fighting for the future of the world?and the birth of a new era of peace. This can only happen if they eliminate the evil shadows that threaten Shandahar.
